"Who is he?" Desiree's friend, Megan asked. "I don't know, but I heard he's the bad kind." Desiree said as she grabbed her books out of her locker. "What do you mean?" Megan asked curiously. "You know, he's a druggie and he's got a record." Desiree explained. "How? He's totally cute." Megan remarked as she stared at him at bit her lower lip. Desiree rolled her eyes and shoved her friend, "You're boy crazy!" she laughed. They walked down the hall giggling, passing Alex. Alex watched them walk past and leaned against the locker. One was bleach blond and slightly chubby while the other was slim with chestnut brown hair. He sighed. This was the fifth new school he had been to in the past three years. He kept getting kicked out, due to violent behavior and and drug use. The bell rang and he reluctantly walked to class. ------- Alex sat down in Geography and openned his textbook. He felt eyes staring at him so he turned to look. Desiree sat there studying him from across the room, when she saw him look she turned away. Alex felt embarressed. Did they know about him? Why was she looking at him strangely? He turned back to face the front of the classroom and continued listening to the lecture. -------- Desiree sat down next to Megan in the cafeteria and openned up her water bottle. "Where have you been?" Megan asked, "You were supposed meet me here five minutes ago!" "Sorry, it's just..." Desiree stopped and looked around, then she leaned in and whispered, "That new kid, Alex I think, he grabbed his backpack and snuck into the boys bathroom after class." "So?" Megan asked. Desiree leaned back and raised her eyebrow at her friend. "What?" Megan asked. "I think he has drugs in his backpack." Desiree whispered. "Des---" "Megan, you know I'm not like that, but I really think he's a criminal." "Des, I really think you're being obsessive about this." "No I'm not, I just thought this was, you know, a safer school." Desiree argued. "Yeah, it is a safer school so if he is doing drugs they will catch him." she said simply. Desiree let out a sigh, "I guess you're right." "Duh, I'm always right." Megan said and the subject was dropped. -------- Alex dropped his backpack on the bathroom floor and looked in the mirror. He was average height for his age. He had brown, almost black hair. But, the feature everyone always remembered him by were his eyes. They were a light, pale shade of blue. They looked scared, though. He turned his head and leaned into the mirror. His hair was a bit long, but it was long for a reason. He moved his hair and looked at a purple bruise that had been hidden under his hair. "Uhhhhh!" he groaned. He pushed away from the mirror and dug through his backpack. He finally pulled out a bag of marijuana cigerettes and a lighter. He grabbed his bag and shut himself in a stall, lit the cigarette, and took a long pull off of it.

Teach Me How To Love: Chapter One
Teach Me How To Love: Prologue
Prologue:
Delivery Room 206-
"Congratulations, Miss Peyton! It's a boy!" the doctor said as he showed the woman the newly born baby.
"I could care less what it is." she said venemously, "Get it out of my sight."
The doctor, taken aback, handed the child to the nurse and had the baby taken from the room.
-------
Delivery Room 197-
"Congratulations, Mrs. Anders! It's a girl!" the doctor said as he showed the woman the newly born baby.
"Oh, she's beautiful!" the mother said adoringly, "What shall we name her, Henry?"
The father looked over at the child and smiled, "You pick."
The woman screwed up her face in thought, "Desiree Marie Anders." she finally decided.
"She's a beauty, like her mom." the father said and kissed his wife.
--------
15 Years Later:
"Dammit, Alex! You useless pig! Get me a beer, I've had a long day!" Miss. Peyton yelled as she entered the house.
The house was shabby and in the ghetto of town. It had one bedroom and all of the windows were boarded up.
Alex jolted up and fetched his mother the beverage. He handed it to her and coward as she slapped him. "You should have had this ready before!" she said.
Alex dared not look at his mother as he huddled up in the corner, too afraid to cry, too afraid to feel anything but hatred.
---------
"Desiree!" her mother called up the stairs.
"Yeah, Mom?" she answered.
"Hun, we are leaving for dance practice in five minutes!" her mother told her.
Desiree snatched up her dance bag and ran down the stairs. She had been a dancer since she was able to walk. She loved hip-hop and ballet. She would even, occasionally, ballroom dance.
"Ready." Desiree said, and walked outside. She hopped into the SUV and her and her mother drove off to dance practice
Thanks for reading! I publish my stories online at booksie.com. So if your interested, take a look!
Started A New Series!!
So I had another idea in my head and so I had to write it down of course! It is called "Teach Me How To Love". It is not based off a true story! I just came up with it (ha ha). So, it is about and boy who is abussed by his single mom and about a girl who comes from a loving household. They know eachother are but don't get to meet until Alex (the abussed boy) is forced to go to a dance program for the emotionally disturbed and meets Desiree (the other main character). She teaches him how to dance but more importantly how to love. Tell me what you guys think for real, okay!

Hurry Up and Save Me: Chapter Four
------>War and Death<------ Damian sat on his throne enrobed in a velvet cape. He held his septor in his right hand, his Talant Ring glimmered. His eyes rested close under his thick black hair. As if out of no where a soldier came running into the throne room and threw himself down onto his knees. "Your Greatness." he panted, "I have brought unfortunate news." Damian's eyes openned lazily. "Regie, is it?" "Yes, your Magnificance." the soldier answered nervously. "What news do you bring?" Damian asked and assumed his position of authority. "Well, your Highness, it seems Princess Peace was not in the palace when we ambushed it." Regie spoke with extreme caution. "Where was she?" enquired Damian. "We-well-we don't know." Regie spoke with more caution. "She can't just disappear into thin air now can she Regie." Damian smiled. "No, your Majesty. She couldn't have." Regie answered. "WELL FIND HER! SEARCH ALL OF THE KINGDOMS, YOU MUST FIND HER!" Damian howled at his soldier. "Y-y-y-y-yes, your Excellence." Regie stammered and backed out of the room. "AND DON'T COME BACK UNTIL YOU HAVE HER!" Damian screamed after him. Damian threw back his head and uttered a rich and evil cackle that filled the throne room with fear. "Once I have Princess Peace I can destroy her talent and rid the world of peace. I will rule the world and force everyone into slavery." he smiled at the thought, "I will marry her first, it will give me a head start. I will take over her kingdom. Imagine Damian, everything being yours." He got up and walked to the large window that overlooked his kingdom. "You're a genius Damian, a pure genious." he turned and walked over to the map of the entire kingdom, which hung on the opposite wall. "Now, where are you Peace?"
Hurry Up and Save Me: Chapter Three
I hopped along the side of a small stream. I let my toes dip into the water. My locket dangled off of my neck and bounced around as I moved. I stopped to touched it and the head of a lily formed in my hand. I breathed in it's perfume.
"Kiara, where are you?" Garretts voice called out to me.
"Back here!" I called to him.
I had fallen behind and wandered over to the stream. Now, I placed the lily in the water and watched it as it was tossed along in the water.
"You can't just wander off. If I loose you it won't be good." He came out from the thicket that was within a few yards from me.
I dropped my shoes and slid them on.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think I was far from you." I said lightly.
"For a princess you arn't very responsible." he said curtly.
I lowered my eyes.
"Put that away would you. Publicize your talent and get us caught. See how far we will get than." he continued.
I dropped my necklace inside the bodice of my dress to cover it up.
"Let's go." And we left the stream.
"What do you have against me?" I asked once we were far from the stream.
"You are treated with such care and with such love, when really you don't even possess a talent.
"My talent is Peace and Healing." I argued.
"Oh, really. Why don't you ever come to town and help the sick? Why don't you stop War and Death?" he asked.
"I-I well, I havn't been able to access all of my talent. I don't know how to use some of it." I stammered.
He chuckled. "I knew it."
My face flushed both from embarressment and anger. I stopped walking.
"How dare you! How dare you judge me and disrespect me!" I screamed at him.
He stopped dead in his tracks, surprised. "Tell me than what can you do?"
I became silent and the anger I had felt left. "Nevermind." I said, and dismissed the matter. I brushed past him to start walking again but he grabbed my arm. "Don't touch me." I mumbled and shook him off.
"I'm...sorry." he said.
"I get upset and now you're sorry?" I asked, "You're going to treat me the same way so don't bother to apologize.
He said nothing and we didn't talk for the rest of the day.
"Kiara, where are you?" Garretts voice called out to me.

Hurry Up and Save Me: Chapter Two
We walked into the forest but didn't follow a trail. He made his way through the brush easily and smoothly. I on the otherhand was having problems.
"Ouch!" I muttered under my breath. This was the seventh time I had tripped over a branch and cut my hand while trying to catch myself.
Garrett snickered, "How's it going back there, Princess?"
"Great!" I said. I tried my hardest to sound cheerful and positive.
"You don't have to pretend." he said and turned to look back at me.
I turned my head away from him and said nothing.
He rolled his eyes and we continued our walk through the forest. As we walked we were greeted with the light of a new day and the smell of dew was heavy in the air. It was refreshing but I was tired and sore.
"Garrett?" I asked softly.
"You're Royal Highness?" he asked. The lingering sarcasm in his voice angeried me slightly, but I pushed my feelings away and continued.
"Garrett, are we going to take a break soon?" I asked.
"Break? We don't break for another three miles." he said and stopped to to turn back smile at me. " It will take a little more than an hour, at least."
I nodded. It was the easiest response at the moment.
We just kept walking and walking. My eyes wanted to close and my body wanted to collapse. I clung to the stirrup of the saddle and rested my head on my arm. Than it was blank.
I inhaled deeply and woke up. Birds were singing and the wind stirred the branches of the trees. I realized I was lying on a quilt directly on the forest floor. I sat up and looked around for Garrett. He was a few feet away asleep on his own quilt. He looked perfect. He didn't look like that rioter out on the street, he looked like a little boy, so innocent and pure.
I took advantage of my time and changed my dress to a long-sleeved, olive-colored one. I let my hair fall down my back in loose, tousled curls. My hair fell down until just above my waist. I let my locket rest on my chest.
When I arrived back to where we were camping out I found Garrett still sound asleep. I watched him sleep for awhile. I liked him better when he was sleeping.
After about fifteen minutes of waiting his eyes fluttered open. He looked at me quizically.
"How long have you been awake?" He asked.
"Thirty minutes, i guess." I answered softly.
He continued to study me.
"Did you change?" he asked confussed.
"Yes." I replied.
"Help me pack up than." he ordered.
--------
"No, you strap it on like this." he said and showed me how to strap the quilts to the horse.
"Oh, sorry." I said. I felt embarressed that I couldn't even do that simple of a task.
He glanced at me for a moment.
"Ready to go, Princess?" he asked. He made sure to add extra emphasis on "Princess".
"My name is Kiara." I told him.
"It is formal to call royalty princess or king." he said. I knew he didn't care, he just wanted to argue with me.
"There is nothing formal about this," I said, "and besides, the name I was given is Kiara. Honestly, I would rather be called by my name."
"Alright, Kiara, are you ready to continue on our little...quest?" he asked.
"It's not a quest, but yes, I'm ready." I answered.
"Is too a quest." I heard him mutter under his breath.

Hurry Up and Save Me: Chapter One
We rush down the dirt road. The bottom of my white, silk nightgown floats above the ground and slaps my ankles gently.
"He lives only a little further, Kiara." Rahule whispers breathlessly.
I nod.
Two minutes later we stop in front of a little house. There is a dim glow of candle light showing through the windows. Rahule raps the door firmly and we are greeted by a boy around my age or older, I guess sixteen. He is tan with sandy blonde hair and pale blue eyes. I recognize him, but I am pushed through the door before I can recall him from my memory.
"You've prepared, I presume?" Rahule asked.
"Everything is ready." the boy spoke with fake eagerness.
I swallowed nervously. He didn't seem willing to protect me.
"Garrett, may I have a word with you?" Rahule asked,"And Kiara, darling, go change into these." he held out a green and white plaid dress.
"You can change in the room over there." Garrett said and pointed down the hall.
I took the dress and mutterd "Thank you" to Garrett. I stepped into the room and changed clothes. While I braided my hair into a loose french braid I studied the room. It was obviously his bedroom, not wanting to intrude any longer I left.
I heard low whispers between Rahule and Garrett and got curious when I heard my name.
"She is the key to balance in our kingdom." Rahule spoke, "You are responsible for her whether you like it or not."
"I want nothing to do with our precious Princess Peace." he said angrily.
"Well this is your punishment for rioting against the kingdom. If you don't keep her safe you will be have partial responsibility for anything they do to her. Learn from your mistakes, boy." Rahule said.
"I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I don't think she has any talent." Garrett said.
Than I remembered. He was a rioter, that was for sure. During my last appearance in town Garrett and a bunch of other rioters came and yelled nasty things about me. I decided to forgive and forget but the words of hatred coming from my own subjects stung. I don't even know why they hate me. My talent may not be exciting, but it crucial to the kingdom's balance.
I smoothed my dress and stepped out from the hallway.
"Ah, Princess, you're ready." Rahule turned to face me.
Garrett turned to face me as well, he looked happy that the subject was dropped but upset that he lost the arguement.
"You should be off." Rahule stated and led the way out of the house.
Garrett gathered the horse which was carrying our things.
"No riding the horse. It will be tired enough carrying our things." Garrett told me,"We will walk next to the horse, not in front of, not behind, but next to."
I nodded.
"Well, you two should be on your way. It's almost dawn." Rahule spoke softly, almost like if he talked too loud he would stir the town and interrupt them from their peaceful dreams.
Garrett grabbed the the horses rope bridle and tugged it gently. I followed Garrett into the densely wooded forest, I followed him and trusted that he would bring me to the safehouse safely.
"He lives only a little further, Kiara." Rahule whispers breathlessly.
